Full prenatal care from your first positive test: labs, ultrasounds through our partner imaging center, genetic screening if you want it, nutrition and movement planning, and the unhurried conversation each month.
Physiologic birth at home or in our birth center on Biltmore Avenue, with continuous one-to-one care in labor, waterbirth in every suite, and a clear, practiced plan if a transfer to Mission Hospital is the safer path.
Home visits at 24 hours, day 3, week 1, week 2, week 4 and week 6. Newborn exams, weight checks, the metabolic screen, and an honest look at how you are sleeping and feeling.
Annual exams, Pap smears, contraception counseling and IUD or implant placement, perimenopause support, and a place to ask the question you've been putting off since your last appointment somewhere else.
Anneliese is an IBCLC. Latch and supply consults, pumping plans for going back to work, weaning on your timeline, and a Tuesday morning feeding circle that is free to anyone in town.
A four-week childbirth series taught in our living-room classroom, a sibling class with a doll and a lot of giggling, and a monthly newborn-care evening for partners and grandparents.

Visits every two weeks, then weekly. A home visit at 36 weeks to walk your space, and a 24/7 birth line from 37 weeks on.
Your midwife with you throughout labor, then six postpartum visits at home through week six. Feeding, healing, and mood all included.
Thirty minutes with Rosa or Anneliese, a walk through the birth center, and a cup of tea. Bring your partner, your mom, your toddler. Leave with answers.
We take a small number of due dates each month so that whichever of us is on call, she is someone you have sat with a dozen times.
Rosa has attended more than 900 births over fourteen years, first in a Durham hospital and, since 2016, here in Asheville. She trained at Frontier Nursing University and still carries the wooden Pinard fetoscope her preceptor gave her.
She is bilingual in Spanish and English and sits on the board of the North Carolina affiliate of ACNM.
“Ask me about my sourdough starter. It's older than the practice.”Anneliese spent eight years as a labor and delivery nurse at Mission Hospital before finishing her midwifery degree at Vanderbilt. She is our lactation consultant and the reason every suite has a tub.
Both of her kids were born at home, the second one before the midwife arrived, which she says made her a much calmer clinician.

We bill most major plans directly and will run your benefits before your first paid visit, so you know your numbers early. Highlighted plans are in-network.
About one in five of our families uses the sliding scale or a payment plan. Ask at your hello visit; it is a normal conversation here.
